Applications accepted for school-loan aid

NEW HAVEN >> The Nonprofit Resource Council of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications from nonprofit employees for help with graduate school loans.

The Nonprofit Graduate School Grant Program provides direct payments to the loan servicers for up to $10,000 over two years. Funding is administered by the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.

Applicants must have or will be earning a graduate degree and either be employed or be promised employment for at least 30 hours a week in a public service nonprofit.

The nonprofit must be in Bethany, Milford, Orange or Woodbridge. Also, Branford, Cheshire, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Wallingford or West Haven.

Applicants must earn less than $60,000 a year.
