WOODBRIDGE >> A Therapy Dog International Reading Dog visited the Language Arts Center in Beecher Road School.

The gentle Labrador retriever, Annie, is a trained therapy dog and is medically and behaviorally screened.

She is owned by the Marin family, longtime residents of Woodbridge.

Students selected books to read to Annie during her visit.

For five years, Beecher has had a reading dog available for its students.

Annie provided and will continue to provide our school community with an experience of joy and fun. Students were relaxed, and reading with Annie motivated them to read, laugh and feel empowered.

Annie created an atmosphere of pride in Beecher Road School, where students were heard saying, “We have a reading dog!”
