WOODBRIDGE >> Monty has been offered for adoption several times with no takers for this young, neutered American Bully-mix in a peanut butter cup color.

What he needs is described through the perspective of someone who knows him: Woodbridge Animal Control Officer Ashley Sakelarkis.

“When Monty first came to Woodbridge Animal Control at the end of summer 2016, it broke my heart seeing the distrust he had for humans. However, within a short amount of time he opened up and began to trust me and the staff here at WAC,” she said.

“Monty loves to spend most of his time sunbathing outside in his kennel and looking forward to his one-on-one playtime. He will romp and play in the yard, loves to play fetch and throw the rope toys in the air showing off for me.

“Monty has come so far from the day he came to us and has truly become the perfect companion for an individual or family.

“We are looking for someone to make the same bond with Monty that I have achieved with him. He is a truly amazing dog who deserves to find his forever home.”

Monty and other dogs and cats are available for adoption at Woodbridge Animal Control, 135 Bradley Road, which can be reached at 203-389-5991.
