The Board of Aldermen will meet tonight, Monday, Jan. 6, starting at 7:30 p.m.
In addition to a number of board appointments, which typically take place the first meeting of the year, there will be a presentation about the city’s 375th anniversary.
According to Priscilla Lynn, communications chair for the 375th anniversary committee, members will officially launch the 375th anniversary celebration with an announcement of a logo competition winner and celebratory music at tonight’s meeting.
Mayor Benjamin G. Blake is the honorary chairman of the 375th celebration committee, with former City Economic & Development Director Bob Gregory as chairman and a huge compliment of subcommittee chairs and volunteers.
Tonight’s launch will include a bagpiper, a town crier, and a children’s group singing the City of Milford’s official song. The launch events are expected to take place just after the meeting starts.
