Snow was falling heavily in Milford this morning, and that means another snow day for public school students. The Milford Board of Education canceled school due to the weather, actually making that decision late Tuesday night in anticipation of heavy snowfall.
Snow is predicted to be heavy at times in northern Connecticut with a mix of sleet and rain in this area, according to the National Weather Service. At about 7:30 a.m., Milford was seeing that mix of sleet and frozen rain. A rain/snow line is forecast to develop along the coast by 7:30 a.m. and move inland to the Hartford area by 10:30 a.m. North of the line heavy snow is expected, with sleet and freezing rain south of the line.
