A great 375th

Members of Milford 375th Anniversary Committee deserve a hearty thanks from Milford residents for lining up numerous activities to help residents celebrate the city’s birthday.

The celebration started earlier this year with proclamations and historic ceremonies. This past week was especially uplifting, as the city celebrated with Pirate Day downtown, and then fireworks and a Grand Parade this past weekend.

Residents seemed to really enjoy the celebration, lining the harbor area for Saturday night’s fireworks, and then lining the streets downtown for Sunday’s parade. And interspersed with those events, they enjoyed events hosted by the Milford Public Library, Elks Club, historical society and more.

The committee, and all the groups and people who worked with the committee, really showed their civic-mindedness in donating their time and energy to the 375th celebration.
