MILFORD >> More than 250 students in grades 1-12 submitted their poetry and short stories for the annual Milford Youth Creative Writing Contest.

Twenty-five students were chosen as first- and second-place winners from nine schools.

The contest is sponsored by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Milford Young Women’s Club.
