MILFORD >> The 11th annual Milford Irish Festival will be held 6-11 p.m. Sept. 16 and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sept. 17 at Fowler Field Rotary Pavilion, behind the Milford Public Library, 57 New Haven Ave., downtown.

The festival will have Irish music, dancing, culture, food, drink, Irish wares for sale.

Admission is $5 Sept. 16 and $12 Sept. 17, children are free. A two-day pass is $15. Go to www.milfordirish.org for details. No pets.

Entertainment: Donal O’Shaughnessy, Keltic Kick, Highland Rovers, The Coracles, Bobby Morrill, The Mulkerin School of Irish Dancing; Lenihan School of Irish Dancing; Jolly Beggars, Emish and The Druids.

Food and beverage: corned beef, shepherd’s pie, brats, hot dogs, baked potatoes your way, kettle corn and Italian ices. There will be water, soda, Guinness, Harp and other beers, Twisted Tea, Smirnoff Ice, hard cider and wine.

Irish Marketplace: Irish clothing, crafts and gifts: knitwear, sweatshirts, T-shirts, accessories, sterling silver, gemstone, beaded and Celtic jewelry, prints and stationery (including Ogham, home décor, giftware, toys and gourmet cookies.

Cultural tent: Tea room with Irish coffee, tea and baked goods (scones, apple tarts, soda bread, brown bread, Bailey’s crumb cake). Sept. 16 ceili with music by Ceol Agus Craic. Sept. 17 Irish history, language, genealogy, Tara Theater Company, music featuring the Shamrogues and the Kerry Boys, step dancing.

Membership tent: Photos, 50-50 raffles, raffle for trip for two to Ireland, including airfare. Irish Heritage Society logo items for sale.

Children’s tent: Children activities are free. Sept. 16, activities 6-8 p.m., entertainer 7-8 p.m. Sept. 17, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. face painting, coloring, plant-a-shamrock, games and prizes, step dancing demos, bounce house, arts and crafts.

Parking: No parking at the festival site, except for handicapped and vendors. Free shuttle at Parsons Government Center parking lot on West Main Street.
