Police: Stratford woman hits another with her car after argument
MILFORD — A Stratford woman was arrested Tuesday morning after hitting another woman with her car and fleeing the scene, police said.
Authorities arrested Cheyan Lavrado, 23, after responding to a report around 6 a.m. of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a boat launch, 696 Naugatuck Ave.
Officers spoke with witnesses at the scene who claimed Lavrado hit the other woman with her car after they got into an argument and then fled the scene.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.
Lavrado was located at her Reed Street home several hours later and taken into custody.
She was charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, evading responsibility and interfering/resisting arrest.
Lavrado was held on a $25,000 bond.
