MILFORD — A city woman was arrested Saturday after an alleged assault that involved a teapot.

According to police reports, officers responded to a Woodlawn Drive residence on the report of a possible domestic violence incident.

Upon investigating, police said officers arrested Rhea Tanner, 47, on charges of disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. Tanner is accused of punching a man multiple times with a closed fist as he was driving, then striking him in the back of the head twice with a teapot.

Tanner was released on a promise to appear in court Monday. During that appearance, she was referred to a family relations officer and is next scheduled to appear in court March 11.
