New Milford High School is trying to raise at least $14,000 for children’s cancer research by March 16, when it will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event.

So far, more than a dozen participants have registered to raise money by shaving their heads at the event.

The event will start at 4 p.m. at the high school, 388 Danbury Road.

Money raised at the event will go to develop cancer treatments.
