MILFORD — A city woman is accused of taking a car and lying about it to police.

According to police reports, officers responded to a Vernon Court residence shortly after 8 a.m. Friday on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. An investigation led to the arrest of Jacquelyn Novak, 22, of Milford, who is accused of taking the vehicle and providing false information during the investigation.

No further information was given, though Novak was only charged with interfering with officers. She was released on a promise to appear in court April 20.
