Larceny, forgery charges unearth seven warrants for Ansonia man
ORANGE — Police arrested an Ansonia man on larceny and forgery charges Sunday only to find out he had seven outstanding warrants for failure to appear, out of multiple towns.
According to the Orange Police Department, officers responded to the Ansonia Police Department shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday to pick up Roland Campbell, 20, of Ansonia, who had been detained on an active arrest warrant originating out of Orange on charges of fifth-degree larceny and third-degree larceny forgery.
The warrant was based on an incident that occurred June 15 at Chase Bank. At that time it was discovered that Campbell had multiple warrants for failure to appear: five from Stamford, one from Cheshire and one from Wallingford. Three were for first-degree failure to appear and three were for second-degree failure to appear.
All the charges carried a total bail of $75,000. He was held in lieu of bail and appeared in court Monday.
