DMV reports fix to Albany central office power problem

ALBANY – The Department of Motor Vehicles reports on its website Thursday that power has been restored to its central office in Albany and all services are now available.

The office experienced a power outage early Wednesday morning causing computer problems at DMV locations throughout the state.

The issue, triggered by a problem with an electric transformer, caused technical issues for local DMV offices. Among those experiencing trouble were customers waiting for driver's license photographs.
