HARTFORD — Police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital early Monday morning.

At around 2:15 a.m., officers were called to Hartford Hospital for a reported gunshot victim arriving for treatment, Lt. Aaron Boisvert said in a news release.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was wounded by gunfire. His injury was not life-threatening, according to Boisvert.

Police determined that the shooting took place near an apartment building on Wethersfield Avenue.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene divisions are investigating the incident.
