The Milford Historical Society will be part of Connecticut Open House Day Saturday, June 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. during the annual state-wide celebration of all the museums, galleries, cultural sites and other attractions open to the public free for the day.

This summer the society is sponsoring The Children's Hour, a display of toys, books and children's furniture from 1865 to 1970.

The Society's Country Store offers old-fashioned toys: Jacob-ladders, pick-up sticks, harmonicas, yo-yos, wooden catch balls and books.
