Milford’s annual festival of lights and tree lighting will be Friday, Nov. 27, the day after Thanksgiving.

The downtown trees are already strung with lights for the popular event, which includes holiday music, free hot chocolate, candy canes, and a visit from Santa.

People can start gathering on the Milford Green at 5:30 p.m. for the holiday event. Santa, courtesy of the Milford Professional Firefighters Association, will arrive at 6:30 p.m. aboard a fire truck.

DJ Sheila and the MIflord Concert Band will provide holiday music, and the Devon Rotary Club will be supplying the hot chocolate. The Downtown Milford Business Association will hand out candy canes.

The annual Milford Chamber of Commerce event is presented this year by Westfield Connecticut Post.
