Kite fly May 7
Milford Living Magazine’s 10th Annual Kite Fly will be May 7, noon to 3 p.m. at Walnut Beach. The Connectikiters will attend with their spectacular kites and helpful hints for novice fliers.
Trout derby May 7
The 48th annual Milford Children’s Trout Derby will be Saturday, May 7, from 6 to 9:30 a.m., at the upper and lower duck ponds with awards to follow at or around 10:30 a.m. No registration is required, and all children ages 15 years and younger are eligible to participate. The Milford Garden Club will hold its annual May Market Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7, at the Fowler Pavilion behind the Milford Public Library, from 8:30 to 11:30 am, or whenever everything is sold. For information go to milfordctgardenclub.org
Mother’s Day Run May 8
Annual Mother’s Day Race to benefit Milford Hospital Programs Sunday, May 8. The 5K Run / Walk race begins at 9 a.m. at Milford Hospital, 300 Seaside Avenue. Online registration is underway via www.hitekracing.com/livewell and will also be taken by mail. Entry fee for those registered by May 5 is $16 for those aged 18 and under and $27 for all others.
