Breastfeeding class
Two-hour class covers basic breastfeeding management through discussion and two short videos Thursdays, 7-9, June 13, Sept. 12 and Nov. 14. Topics include first hours and days after birth, importance of skin-to-skin contact, latching and positioning, frequency of nursing, understanding milk supply, common challenges in the early weeks, basic self help and more. Prepared childbirth education
In-depth series is designed to give the expectant mom and birth partner an understanding of birth options and coping skills for labor and delivery. Classes offered as a series of four classes held once a week for four weeks. Or, a two-part series held two consecutive Saturdays. Register for class around 28th week of pregnancy.
Weekday Series 2: Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27, 6:30-9, $150.

Young Parent Program
Free childbirth class taught by a registered nurse for women under age 22 offered in six-week sessions. Sessions include lamaze, nutrition, understanding prenatel issues, breastfeeding and bottlefeeding, baby care, family planning and post partem factors.
