Berlin High to forfeit victories

The CIAC Board of Control voted in a meeting Wednesday afternoon to accept a self-report from Berlin High School for violations of CIAC rules by its football program. The self-report, which was aided by an independent investigation, was for use of ineligible players and recruitment. Boys soccer: Bridgeport Central disqualified from states

Due to self-report of the use of an ineligible player, Bridgeport Central has been disqualified from the CIAC Class LL boys Soccer tournament. Per CIAC by-laws, Hall High School, Bridgeport Central’s quarterfinal opponent, will now play in their place against Glastonbury High School in a semifinal match Nov. 18 at a site and time to be determined. Elizabeth Sargent commits to Seton Hall for swim

Elizabeth Sargent, the defending Class M state champion in the 200 intermediate relay. has given her verbal commitment to attend Seton Hall next fall.
