The Center for Contemporary Printmaking has announced its international traveling show, HORIZONS, that will premiere with the Cork Printmakers at the Quay Gallery in Cork, Ireland, during February 2016. The exhibition will then travel to Fyns Grafiske Vaerksted, in Odense, Denmark, in May. The exhibition is comprised of 35 works by 16 artist members of the center and explores representations of horizons both physical and perceptual. HORIZONS was developed as an opportunity for the Center’s member artists to showcase their work internationally at world-renowned printmaking facilities.
Center executive director Laura G. Einstein said, “This exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for our member artists to exhibit their works in two extraordinary printmaking venues overseas. It is gratifying to see that the Center for Contemporary Printmaking has a growing international presence and our members have another chance to have their work shown around the globe. In 2014, works by the center’s artist members were displayed as part of the Pendle International Print Festival in conjunction with the Heritage Centre Gallery in Pendle, England.”
