Kick Off to Summer fireworks is June 30

(2018) This year’s Milford Kick Off to Summer, highlighted by a fireworks display, will be Saturday, June 30, from 4 to 11:30 p.m. along the harbor in downtown Milford.

Dan Worroll, event organizer, said this marks the fourth annual Kick Off to Summer, and he promises the fireworks “will be great.”

Fireworks over Milford Harbor will go off at 9:15 p.m.

There will be food trucks selling food, and beverages for sale, at Lisman Landing, and two bands will play: Gear Junkies from 4 to 7 p.m. and Rum Runners from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

There will be no parking in the immediate area, but shuttle buses will be available from Wasson Field, the Milford Senior Center and Harborside Middle School.

Worroll is expecting a big crowd at the popular event.

“I think all the slips are sold out at the boatyard,” he said.

It costs about $13,000 to run the event this year. Donations have been secured, with major sponsors being Devon Rotary, Wines & More, Milford Bank, ShopRite, Bierne Wealth, and others. But donations are welcome to keep the event going. To make a donation email Worroll at [email protected].

The show is free to the public: There is no admission charge.
