Jonathan Law boys

Coach Joe Beler’s Jonathan Law team defeated Platt Tech, Bassick and Harding. 4×800 Law 9:00.18 (Tyler McKenna-Hanson, Chris Wootton, Nelson Gomes, Jon Vitale), 4×100 Law 47.0 (Walker Stebbins, Ethan Harrigan, Spencer Deer, Alexander Lazar), Javelin Law 123-2 (Jacob Karas), 110HH Bassick 15.9 (Morales), 100 Bassick 11.6 (Mohammad), Long Jump Law 19-7 (Jack Pincus-Coyle), 1600 Law 4:47 (Michael Loschiavo), High Jump Law 5-4 (Jack Pincus-Coyle), Discus Platt 74-3 (Inns), Shot put Harding 35-9 (Troy), 400 Harding 54.5 (Williams), 300IM Law 47.52 (Nelson Gomes), 800 Law 2:17 (Chris Wootton), Triple Jump Bassick 36-6 (Mack), 200 23.68 (Williams), 3200 Law 11:16 (Michael Loschiavo) Pole Vault Law 9-6 (Ethan Deer), 4X400 Bassick (3:52). Law’s Jordan Beck finished second in the boys 110 hurdles in 15.38 seconds to highlight the effort of the Law boys and girls at the Middletown Invitational. Beck came back to finish eighth in the 300 hurdles (42.95), while the Law girls 3,200-meter relay team finished sixth. The freshmen quartet of Katelyn Konareski, Midori Hughes, Hannah Rascoll and Kaylee Brotherton ran a season-best time of 10:33, just seven seconds off the Law school record. Discus thrower Shawna Winters took seventh with a toss of 101-feet-4.

Foran High girls

Foran High defeated West Haven, 97.5-42.5. Emma Cote was a double winner for coach Rick Raucci’s Lions, now 5-7. 4×800 Relay: Foran 11:50; 4×100 Relay: Foran 53.7; 100 Hurdles: Jamera (W) 20.1; 100: Yasmina Lingane (F) 13.8; 1600: Emma Cote (F) 6:00; 400: Pauline Fernandez (F) 65.8; 300 IH: Tessa Malesky (F) 53.0; High Jump Abigail Huebner (F) 4-6; 800: Emma Cote (F) 2:54; 200: Nya Vereen (F) 28.5; 3200: Margaret Cummings (F) 14:58; 4×4 Relay Foran 4:57; Triple Jump Frazer (W) 30-9; Javelin Catherine Weed (F) 75-3; Long Jump Samantha (W) 12-3, Pole Vault Lauren Heenan (F) 7-6; Shot Put Morales (W) 26-3. Foran High boys

Kevin Preneta was a triple winner for coach Peter Jambor when the Lions defeated Hillhouse High, 76-74.
