The Foran High football team put together a pair of third-quarter touchdown passes on its way to defeating East Haven at Vito DeVito Field in Milford on Friday.
Leading 14-10 at the break, coach Jeff Bevino’s Lions (6-1) saw Lance DiNatale throw a touchdown pass to Jared Hubler good for 62 yards. Brett Huber then threw an option pass to Colin Firmender for 50 yards.
East Haven (5-2) drew within 27-17 in the final period, but R.J. Balado returned the kickoff 85 yards for the decisive score.
DiNatale was 18-for-25 passing for 321 yards with three touchdowns. The junior ran for an 8-yard score after finding Huber on a 9-yard pass to erase the Easties 3-0 lead.
Balado ran for a 10-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Huber had nine catches for 93 yards, Firmender 5 catches for 139 yards and Hubler four catches for 98 yards.
Zach Cleary was 5-for-6 on his conversion kicks.
