Edgewood defeats Milford in Junior League Section final

Edgewood (Bristol) scored three times in the top of the 10th inning to secure a 7-4 victory over Milford in the Junior Baseball Section I final at Brinley Field in Orange on Friday night.

The game began on Thursday, but inclement weather forced a postponement in the top of the eighth inning with the game tied at 4.

Edgewood rallied for a pair of runs in the top of the seventh, with Josh O’Keefe’s RBI infield single forcing a 4-4 deadlock.

A bases-loaded walk to Zach Marquis and a two-run single by Joe Dorsio provided the difference for Edgewood.

Edgewood will face Tolland, the Section II champion, tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the best-of-three state final.

Joe Radecki and Dylan Bartel had RBI singles for Milford.
