Author discusses haunting of Lindley Street house in Bridgeport

haunted-bookAuthor Bill Hall was only ten years old when extraordinary paranormal activities unfolded on Lindley Street, near his Bridgeport home.

The Bridgeport poltergeist became known as one of the most witnessed and documented haunting of all times. Although he was too young to be aware of the ensuing investigation of the poltergeist, Hall meticulously combed through over 40 hours of previously undisclosed testimony with numerous police officers, firefighters, priests, neighbors, family members, and onlookers during his research for The World’s Most Haunted House: The True Story of the Bridgeport Poltergeist on Lindley Street.

Hall will speak about the events that took place in Bridgeport and the audience will get to hear samples of rare interviews. A book signing will follow. The event will take place at Barnes & Noble Milford, 1375 Boston Post Road, on Friday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m.

Last month more than 75 people attended a book launch party at Barnes & Noble Milford for Hall’s book.

Special guests included Lynne Goodin Ward, cousin of Jerry and Laura Goodin, the couple whose house was targeted by an unexplainable phenomena; Paul Eno, a then 21-year old seminary student who accompanied renowned ‘ghost hunters’ Lorraine and Ed Warren; Boyce Batey, lead investigator of the Lindley Street case; Valere Bilichka, a witness to the paranormal activities, and several former neighbors.

The book sold-out before the signing began.

“We expect another large crowd,” said Karen Dydzuhn, community business development manager, Barnes & Noble Milford. “Bill is an engaging and informative speaker. He answered questions from the crowd for almost three hours. Many people living in this area remember this haunting well and were eager to hear the never-before-told details that Bill writes about in his book.”
