Richard “Dick” Baker Boardman

Richard “Dick” Baker Boardman, 85, a longtime Milford resident, husband of Barbara Striby Boardman, died Jan. 26, at Milford Hospital.

Son of the late Walter and Hazel Baker Boardman, he was born Nov. 19, 1926 in Meriden.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Boardman was a systems analyst for Emerson’s, formerly US Electrical Motors.

An avid boater, he belonged to the Power Squadron in Milford. He also enjoyed photography and was a member of the Milford Camera Club.

Dick was a devoted, loving and generous husband, father and grandfather, whose greatest passion was spending time with his family, his family said.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Karen Kendall and her husband, John and Janet Boardman; two granddaughters, Beth Melillo and her husband, John and Shana Boardman; and his great-grandson, Jason Melillo.

Visiting hours are Saturday, Jan. 28, 2-4 p.m., Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford.
