Joseph “Whitey” P. Janik Sr.
Joseph “Whitey” P. Janik Sr., of Milford, husband of Laura Lee (Ceccarelli) Janik for 33 years, died Jan. 19, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Scranton, Pa. to the late Frank and Lydia Janik.
Mr. Janick was a Harding High School graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was happily employed for 40 years at Bridgeport Machines, and a very loyal Boston Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife, survivors include his son, Joseph Jr.; four brothers, Frank and his wife, Hilde of Milford, Jack and his wife, Judy of Stratford, Edward of Wethersfield and Robert of Moosic, Pa.; a special sister-in-law, Linda (Ceccarelli) Delillo and her husband, John of West Haven; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, handled arrangements. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford.
