Metro-North is adding extra trains Tuesday, Feb. 7, to accommodate New York Giants fans traveling to New York City for the team’s victory parade.
The Super Bowl champions will be honored with a ticker tape parade in the Canyon of Heroes at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Inbound on the New Haven Line, there will be an 8:47 a.m. express from New Haven, stopping at Milford, Stratford, Bridgeport, Stamford and Harlem-125th St, arriving at Grand Central Terminal at 10:20 a.m.
An outbound express will leave Grand Central Terminal at 3:23 p.m., stopping at Westport, Fairfield, Fairfield Metro, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford and New Haven.
There will also be extra cars on some rush-hour trains.
Off-peak prices will apply on the extra trains. Customers should purchase round-trip tickets in advance at ticket vending machines or ticket offices and chose the single round trip MetroCard option for travel to Lower Manhattan by New York City Subway. From Grand Central take the Lexington Avenue No. 4, 5 or 6 to Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. (The Wall Street station will be closed during the parade.)
Metro-North asked riders to refrain from taking alcohol on trains.
