The next step in the city and school budget process is coming up.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at Milford City Hall, the Board of Finance will hold public hearings on the mayor's proposed budget and the proposed school budget.
Residents will be able to share their thoughts on the 2012-13 spending plans.
The Board of Education has backed a spending plan of $86.49 million. The proposal represents a 1.66% increase over the current year, which officials said is the lowest increase seen here in many years.
Mayor Ben Blake has not presented his spending plan yet, but City Hall officials said he will probably unveil it next week.
The Board of Finance will review the budget proposals before passing them onto the Board of Aldermen for review.
