Jake Kasuba used precision passing to lead coach Jeff Bevino’s Foran High football team to a 45-8 SCC road win over East Haven on Friday night.
Kasuba completed 15-of-18 passes for 248 yard and four touchdowns, as the Lions won their second straight game to improve to 2-2.
Nick DeRosa scored on a 44-yard run, and Nick Weissauer ran for the two-point conversion, to stake Foran to an 8-0 first-quarter lead over the Easties (1-3).
White made it 14-0 with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Zach White, before East Haven closed within 14-8 on Joe Dellacamera’s 44-yard run and his conversion pass to Demetrius Whitfield.
Kasuba gave the Lions a 30-8 halftime lead after he connected for scores with Chris Hoey (62 yards) and White (14 yards), and then ran in the conversion attempts.
Kasuba ran for a five-yard touchdown and Connor Cadrin added the two-point conversion for the only scoring in the third quarter.
Weissauer caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Kasuba in the final period, and Sam Olsson added the conversion kick.
