Frederick Charles Nacovitch, 55, husband of Laura Smith Nacovitch

On August 3, 2013- a beautiful summer day in South Carolina, while riding the motorcycle that he loved, tragedy suddenly struck and Frederick Charles Nacovitch, 55, was taken from us too soon.

He is the son of Rosemarie Hungerford Nacovitch and the late Frederick Nacovitch of Trumbull.

Fred, or “Butch” as he is known by his family, is survived by his loving wife of 32 years and best friend for 41 years Laura Smith Nacovitch and his sons Jason and Ryan, whom he loved very dearly. He also leaves behind his faithful dogs Buddy, Lily and Tater. His sisters, Jeanmarie Falcone Montabana and husband Gary of Trumbull, Theresa Kohalmi and husband David of Milford, and Christine Orrico and husband Ronald of Sandy Hook. His father and mother-in-law Tom and Gloria Smith of Trumbull, brother-in-laws Tommy Smith of Shelton, and Timmy Smith of Southbury; sister-in-laws and their husbands Cheryl and Nick Hersh of Monroe, and Patti and Jack Reese of Ansonia. Nieces and nephews Michael and Sarah Falcone, Erica and Amanda Kohalmi, Cheryl and Steven Orrico, Nicky, Jesse and Emily Hersh, Bradley, Ian and Jennie Reese and Baby Aubrey.

In addition to his love of motorcycles, Fred enjoyed playing his bass guitar and harmonica in his bands and spending time with his family. He was a great athlete and at one time held the title of Mr. Sumter, South Carolina in body building.

Friends are invited to attend the visitation at Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home 399 White Plains Rd. Trumbull on Saturday August 10, 2013 from 2-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to SPCA or the Red Cross.
