Police investigating Subway robbery

The Milford Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred Sept. 16, at about 7:55 p.m. at the Subway restaurant at 1 River Street.

Police said a man entered the store and engaged the employee in conversation. The man told the employee he had a gun in his backpack and demanded the money from the cash register.

After taking the money, the suspect left the store on a bicycle traveling westbound on North Broad Street. No weapon was displayed during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 18-20 years old and 5’9 – 5’10” in height. He was wearing gray gym style shorts with two white stripes down the sides, a dark colored long sleeve sweatshirt with writing on the left breast area, white sneakers and a New York Yankees baseball hat and backpack.
