Edward Swift, age 67, of Milford, husband of Sharon Bloszko Swift died on Saturday, August 31, 2012 at Milford Hospital.
He was born in Bridgeport on April 2, 1945 and was the son of the late Helen Spadolino.
Edward served with pride and honor in the U.S. M.C. during the Vietnam War. He was a machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft and retired in 2007.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed bowling, fishing, and tending to his garden.
Besides his wife Sharon of 39 years, survivors include his children Mark Swift and his wife Natalina of Milford, Jaime Cella and her husband Brian of Milford, Edward Swift and his wife Pamela of Oklahoma City, OK; Beloved Papa to Sadie and Collin Cella; Grandpa Ed to Kadrick Swift; and a sister, Carol Geffert of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, September 4th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St. On the Green, Milford. A Funeral Service will be held at Cody-White on Wednesday, September 5th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Stratford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
