Eastern Holistic Arts will host a Family Health and Fitness Event to educate local adults and children on achieving optimal health, including the benefits of good nutrition and exercise.
The event will also be celebrating National Nutrition Month (March) which stresses the importance of making informed food choices, developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
The free family event will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 1:30 to 3:30pm at 232 Boston Post Road (Aldi Plaza) in Milford.
The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Peter Braglia, chiropractic physician in Stratford. He’ll present ‘Take Control of Your Health,’ which will focus on the importance of how you eat and how you move and include simple practices related to nutrition, injury prevention and spinal health.
Attendees will also learn about the benefits of yoga and karate, watch demonstrations and participate in sample class activities. Comfortable clothing is suggested.
Youth activities, face painting, raffle prizes and refreshments will be available.
