C.J. Luth captures State Open title

C.J. Luth from Foran High captured the 132-pound title at the State Open Wrestling Championships held at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven on Saturday.
Luth defeated David Colvin from Westbrook/Old Saybrook, 9-4, in the final.
Foran’s Clay Callahan was edged out 3-2 by South Windsor’s Sam Odell in the 152-pound championship bout.
Jonathan Law’s Ryan Bannon wrestled back to earn fifth place at 132 pounds with a 3-2 victory over Montville’s Jacob Caskey.
Foran High placed 11th overall. Danbury High won the team title followed by Windham.
