Robert “Bob” Ritucci, age 80, of Shelton CT, passed away Tuesday, February 5th surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born in the Bronx on January 15, 1933 and was the son of the late Donato and Louise Ritucci.
He was a bricklayer foreman for the City of New York for 25 years. Bob owned several restaurants and also owned and operated a Service Master franchise. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bob resided in Yonkers, NY for 30 years and Sherman, CT prior to moving to Shelton.
Bob was a natural athlete who enjoyed playing racquetball and outdoor sports including horseback riding, skiing, bicycling, scuba diving and boating. His family and friends enjoyed many hours of his guitar playing. Bob also played bridge, was expert at word puzzles and an avid reader.
He truly enjoyed life. His most treasured times, however, were spent with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife Anne (DeVito) of 60 years; three devoted children Diane and her husband Henry Reboira of White Plains, NY, Donna and her husband Dr. Carlos Maldonado of Pleasant Valley, NY and Lori and her husband Thomas Vazzano of Milford, CT; his brother Vincent (Jimmy) Ritucci; predeceased by his sister Elaine Gebbia; three cherished grandchildren Dr. Robert McGlynn and his wife Sarah, Dana McGlynn and Matthew Vazzano; and three step grandchildren Amanda Mioline, Dr. Andres Maldonado and predeceased by Thomas Vazzano II; and several nieces and nephews.
Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, handled arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tommy Friends Fund through the funeral director.
