In preparation for blizzard conditions, The Milford Fire – Rescue Department is implementing apparatus and personnel changes in anticipation of high call volume, power outages, downed wires and drifting snow.
The department will be staffing with additional personnel. The department also has stationed department plows on the east and west sides of town to assist with possible blocked streets when transport is needed or when rescue vehicles need to access unplowed roadways.
The department will also be monitoring the shoreline for flooding issues.
