Crusaders win battle of SWC unbeatens

Lauralton Hall showed its superiority on Tuesday with a 65-45 victory over Pomperaug of Southbury in a matchup between SWC unbeaten basketball teams.
The Crusaders (15-1, 13-0 SWC) took a 17-12 lead after one before the Panthers (17-1, 12-1) closed the gap to 27-25 at the half.
Lauralton went on a 20-10 run in the third quarter and took the final frame 18-10.
Emma McCarthy scored 22 points, Carly Fabbri 18, Michelle DeSantis 13 and Olivia Levey 10.
