Margaret Allen Weldon

Margaret Allen Weldon, resident of Milford formerly of Hamden and beloved wife to the late Maur J. Weldon, died peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2013 in Milford.

Born in New Haven on April 1, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Frances Carroll Allen.

Prior to her retirement, Margaret was an administrative assistant in the Yale Development office at Yale University and previously at Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, PA.

A spirited, loving and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Margaret will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Maureen Johnson of Denver, CO, Catherine Hotchkiss of Milford and Ann Lightfoot of Hamden as well as her six cherished granddaughters, Stephanie Guyton, Caroline Butler, Courtney and Taber Lightfoot, Kristin and Erica Johnson; and two great grandsons Patrick and Matthew Butler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 25th at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH),70 Gulf St., Milford, CT. Interment to follow at Beaverdale Cemetery, New Haven, CT. There will be no calling hours and arrangements are being handled by the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s School Library, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460.
