Lynn Kerr Azzam of Lucielle Drive in Easton, Ct., unexpectedly passed away, January 2, 2013. She was 75 years old.
Beloved wife of Hani Azzam for 53 years. Loving and devoted mother to Moneer Azzam and his wife Sara of Wellesley, MA, and to Dean Azzam and his longtime girlfriend Rebecca Daleb of Hartford, CT; cherished grandmother to Hani Nicholas and Alexandra Maria Azzam, and to Christina Pelland and Matthew McLean. Also leaves behind recently discovered brother Brad Kerr and sister Elizabeth Aralia.
Daughter of the late Bruce Kerr and Miriam Johnson, Lynn was born in Ithaca, NY. Lynn grew up in Bar Harbor, ME, with a love of the ocean and the mountains. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport, where she served as a resident director and later worked at Vectron Labs in Norwalk.
Lynn was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold, a thirst for knowledge, and a zest for life. She loved nothing more than her family and friends. She loved to write and photograph. Some of her favorite music was Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto 2, Brahams’ Symphony 1 and a collection of Beatles Songs. Despite her deafness later in life, Lynn made a point to always lend an ear to her loved ones’ problems and meanderings of the mind.
Prayer services will be held Saturday, January 12 at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 5458 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT, at 11:00am, followed by a meal of mercy, and a celebration of her life in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn’s name can go to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), Sierra Club or charity of your choice.
