The Foran High girls basketball team was edged out, 30-27, by unbeaten Stamford High in the first round of the Westhill Holiday Tournament in Stamford on Thursday.
Taylor Ceballos scored 15 points and had 12 rebounds for the Lions, who took a 20-7 lead into the second half.
Foran is 2-3 and Stamford 7-0.
