July is United Way month at Shop Rite

July is United Way Month at ShopRite of Milford. Beginning Saturday, June 30, and through the month of July, United Way volunteers will be outside ShopRite selling hotdogs and sodas every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donations can also be made at the register.

All of the proceeds will go the United Way of Milford to benefit the 20 partner agencies and local programs that fall under the organization’s umbrella.

“As always we are incredibly grateful to Harry Garafalo and his wonderful staff who support the United Way with this great fundraiser,” said Gary Johnson, president of the United Way of Milford. “Last year, we raised $12,870. This year Harry and his associates are hoping to make $15,000.”

Volunteers from the United Way and the organizations it supports will be on hand to answer questions about the work they do. There will also be raffle baskets donated by Schick/Energizer, the Woodruff Family YMCA, and Subway.
