Alma LaVoie

Alma LaVoie, 73, of Milford, passed away suddenly Monday December 24, 2012 at Milford Hospital.

Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Mabel (Kay) Barnes.

She was also predeceased by her husband Norman F. LaVoie.

Alma volunteered as a home health care aide for a number of years before retiring. She is survived by her children; Craig and Lori Lee of Clinton, Scott and Lisa Lee of Westport and Christopher and Amy Lee of Ashburn, VA., her step-children; Dan LaVoie of Oregon, Larry LaVoie of Kansas, Michael LaVoie of Shelton, Susan Griffith of Milford and David LaVoie of CA, as well as 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A Prayer Service for Alma will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11:30 am at Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., in Milford. Calling hours will be from 9:00 am, until time of service.
