Double overtime thriller

The Jonathan Law boys basketball team saw its best performance of the season go to double overtime before the Lawmen suffered a 71-67 defeat at North Haven on Tuesday.
Law (0-3) took a 16-4 lead after one period and led 36-22 at the half.
North Haven (1-2) went on a 30-16 run in the third quarter to tie the game at 52.
The SCC rivals played the final period to a 10-10 tie, stayed even through a 5-5 first overtime, before North Haven won the final stanza by a 4-0 margin.
Brandon Williams scored 18 points, Hawkins French 15, Kevin Wall 13, J.J. Ciesla 11 and Zach Toto eight.
French had a trio of 3-pointers and Ciesla one.
