The Milford Coop boys ice hockey team lost to North Branford, 4-1, in its opener on Wednesday.
Will Vitelli scored at 2:02 of the second period to tie the game at 1, withRob Buskey and Zach White earning assists.
It was 3-1 after two before the T-Birds scored the lone goal in the final frame.
Noah Ericson had 18 saves for the Indians.
