The main purpose of the club is to give, encourage, promote and develop good will toward others. The club also aims to help and support the local community.
Nationally Kiwanis supports KPTI, which is Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute, and The Eliminate Project with UNICEF. Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Yes, the Kiwanis Club has five major fund-raisers. Poinsettias/wreath sale, which is going now until Dec. 17, Easter flowers sale at Milford Bank, Oyster Festival Food Booth, Annual Golf Tournament at Orange Hills in September, Evening of Education in the spring.

The Kiwanis Club raises about $50,000 to $60,000 a year that it gives back 100% to the community.
Kiwanis gives yearly scholarships to all the high schools — Platt, Lauralton, Foran and Law. The club gives to the food bank, senior center, Beth El Center, sports, community projects, Key Clubs, and the Boys and Girls Club.
