Lamplight Stroll is Friday and Saturday

Downtown Milford’s shops, spas and salons will greet visitors with refreshments, holiday cheer and a unique holiday shopping experience, and some lucky shopper will win a gift basket worth hundreds of dollars, filled with gift certificates, goodies, surprises and treats from downtown businesses during the annual Lamplight Stroll.

Visitors can collect a gift basket passport at any participating shop or business. On Dec. 7 and 8, shoppers can stroll from shop to shop to get their passport stamped. Holders with completed passports can fill out the reverse side and leave it at any participating business to be eligible to win the gift basket.

Following is the schedule of events for Friday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m.

Horse and carriage rides around the green with Mrs. Santa, including story-telling, singing holiday carols, and homemade cookies.

Yuletide carolers dressed in 19th Century garb will be strolling and caroling around downtown.

Cornerstone Christian Adult and Youth Choirs will perform on the steps of Milford Photo.

The following is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be refreshments, specials, promotions and discounts from participating businesses.

In addition, the Downtown Milford Business Association has launched a Downtown Milford Cares program. Visitors may donate non-perishable food items to benefit and restock the Milford Food Bank. Donations may be made at Café Atlantique, Me Boutique, Milford Photo, Park Lane Deli, Tranquility Wellness Spa, Villa Gourmet, Village Vogue Boutique, Will-O-Wisp Beads, Hudson Valley Bank and the leasing office for Spinnaker Apartments.
