Hard-charging Pirates earn baseball title

MM-SPTS-LL-Pirates-7-24The Milford Lou Gehrig Little League Pirates won the 2014 Coach Pitch championship. The Pirates started off 3-5 and went on to win 11 in a row to secure the title. The Pirates, led by a stellar defense that allowed less than four runs per game, defeated the Marlins, 8-7, in the championship game at Ralph Clarkson Field.
