Literacy Center’s first Neon Night Run is July 12

The Literacy Center of Milford will hold its first Neon Night Run in downtown Milford on July 12.

Registration will be at the Rotary Pavilion from 7 to 8 p.m.  The race starts at 8:15 p.m. The registration fee is $25.

The first 150 runners and walkers will receive a glow necklace and neon t-shirt. Additional neon items will be for sale.

The 3.1-mile challenge will begin and end at the Rotary Pavilion. There will be awards for fastest, best costumes, most enthusiastic and more. Power bars and other snacks will be available.

After-party dancing and Neon drink specials will follow at Indigo Restaurant for participants who are 21 years and older.

“Our neon night race promises to be an exciting event,” said Tami Jackson, the center’s executive director. “It is part of the Literacy Center’s rollout of new educational programs and fundraising venues during its 20th anniversary year.”
